Do you worry a lot? Do you get stuck thinking about the same things over and over? Do you often feel sad? Big emotions can sometimes affect the things in our lives that are supposed to be fun. They can impact us at home, school, activities, work and even our friendships and relationships. They can be hard to understand and explain to others (including the people that love and care for us), because sometimes even we don’t always know. Having so many emotions running through our bodies can be confusing. We can feel angry, frustrated, panicked and stressed all at the same time; and sometimes all we want is to understand why.

What if you could begin to understand your emotions? Anxiety can show up both in our minds (cognitive) and our bodies (physical). Like when you worry and your heart starts racing. But our worry doesn’t always have to be a bad thing; sometimes it helps keep us safe. When we start to understand our emotions, it can help us take control of how we are feeling.

I’ve worked with youth and families in all kinds of different circumstances and know therapy can be scary when you don’t know what to expect. With some people, we just talk. With others, we play video games or do art activities and talk. I’m here to listen and support you with your goals. You can reach out anytime to see if I’m a good fit for you.
